After two weeks of strictly drawing/focusing solely on this one drawing i´m finally done... it´s not half as epic as i had imagined to tell the truth but i´m happy with it. I wanted to see what i could accomplish if i put all my skills behind one drawing and that´s what comes of it. I have a loooot to learn i realized. Still can´t put my hands around the proper use of color adjustment layers used for shading, how can it be so hard to create sunlight O.o

Really most of the time i researched the anatomy of eagles and their complicated wing structure, watched videos to understand its dynamics and pictures to understand all the plummage down to the little downes. If anything i learnt that eagle wings are messy. I hope this is a realistic attempt at an eagle anthro, really the shoulders are the hardest part. To reduce drag below the hip the eagles have small secondary feathers on their tighs for additional lift. The connection between hips and torso is very rigid for better stability which does cause them to walk with their entire bodies swinging from one side to the other. Also the stomach is the only place not covered by thick muscles and is most vulnerable which is why it´s usually protected by armor. I meant to draw much more armor anyhow but my motivation spoke against it.

I now wanna draw many more harpies and anthros :D This is how Eagle harpies look like if they make full use of their essence and transform their bodies most ´demonic´ It´s very risky to do so and consumes tons of energy which is only slowly restored.

Anyhow please share any thoughs you might have i´d be happy to read them :w00t:
