King of the Camels

Birthday present for my big bro. I swear this is the last time i´m gona do high quality comissions. Here i am like "Oh wow it turned out great" and instead the first thing you hear is "those ears, please change them". Seriously it´s like running through the finish line of a race and receiving a shovel to the face instead. I won´t be giving away comissions easily anymore my time is worth quite something and i´m spending hours on commissions. People should realize that. *rant now really ends*








 I dedicated an entire month learning how to draw skin and do less systematic drawing and more 'painting' (i didn´t use nearly any adjustment layers at all). This is actually not what he asked for in the beginning but that first idea proved to be too hard to so he asked for the King of the Camel Forlje sitting on a throne. He wnated it to look impressive and all and i think i fulfilled that I´m happy with this and look i even drew cloth o.O

He looks not nearly as inhuman as i´d like but i could hardly draw a camel centaur sit on a thorne when i have enough troubles with a human xD That throne is wooden because... (i couldn´t draw stone) camels have enough rock and dust in the desert so wood is more valuable. Blue is a sacred color to the desert people so lots of blue and even some rare blue metal bracelets.


work time: sketch+lineart= 3 hrs, color+basic shading= 2 hrs, bg + throne= 2hrs, refining= 2 hrs. Overall time= ~9-10 hrs
