Nyda the Demon

First time i sketched digitally and it actually turned out good.

This is the mighty demon Nyda, nemesis of the harpies and one of the big 11. She is known to prey on any flying creatures but also to bound them to two sided contracts. She has lost her body long time ago and her spirit wants a new body.

There are many rumors about her origins. Legend says that the harpies originally were mighty birds but forced into more human shapes as danger approached and diplomacy the best option was. The Goddess called all the birds together and reformed them, promising them that one day they will regain their bird form. But Nyda a fire eagle disobeyed her and remained in her form.

In rage the Goddess cast a spell upon Nyda and made her a demon. Nyda´s shape was reformed and she now has hands that hinder her from graceful flight. Unable to ever return to her original shape again she envies the harpies and kills them whenever possible. It is unknown how she lost her body but her evil spirit still seeks revenge.
